Each student is assigned a personal, state-of-the-art workstation. Asset Creation is a term used in the CG industry for the creation of all bits and pieces, both big and small, used in Film and Games. This Asset Creation program is designed to train working artists in the CG Industry for the roles of Props & Environments for Film, Characters & Creatures for Film, Environments for Games as well as Characters & Creatures for Games.

Michael Leaning
Sound Designer at Sweet Justice Sound – Graduated from the University of Hertfordshire with a BSc (Hons) in Music and Sound Design Technology degree. Micheal learned and grew, discovering a passion for digital design. Despite challenges, he pursued his love for art, creating unique digital pieces that gained global recognition. In 2023, Michael won an Audio Achievement BAFTA Game Award as part of a team that worked on the hit video game God of War Ragnarök.

Kiymet Shevket
Consultant for a world-renowned architecture studio – Graduated with an MA in Interior Architecture and Design degree, Kiymet initially wanted to be an interior designer, but COVID-19 made her rethink. Kiymet decided to reconsider her career aspirations. Motivated to delve deeper into entrepreneurship and incorporate neuroarchitecture and environmental psychology insights into her innovative and transformative projects, Kiymet pursued a postgraduate degree at Herts University.

Robin McGovern
Junior Audio Designer at Ubisoft – Graduated with Music Composition and Technology for Films and Games, Robin credits a significant part of his career success to the skill set he developed while studying at Herts. His degree equipped him to create refined, high-quality audio content. Following graduation, he landed a job as an Audio Tester at Frontier Development, working on notable projects such as Jurassic World and Elite Dangerous. Later on, Ubisoft recruited him to join their team.

Pavlina Azova
Trainee Sculptor – Graduated with a BA (Hons) in Model Design (Character and Creative Effects), Pavlina was drawn to Herts to pursue a model-maker career. During an open-day visit, she was captivated by the students’ impressive work. This experience profoundly affected her decision-making process as she realized her potential to achieve similar heights. Pavlina was awarded the Peter Brownhill Prize for her outstanding academic achievements in her final year, leading her to work for Warner Bros and Pinewood Studios.
