The pre-academic composition course has a duration ranging from 1 to 2 years, depending on the level of each student; it is accessed through an audition.
It stems from a careful fusion of traditional studies, such as traditional harmony, counterpoint, orchestration and contemporary professional issues, to provide each student with the tools and skills to realize his/her own music ideas with the right techniques.
The 1st cycle academic diploma in Composition represents a point of arrival of excellence for the preparation of the modern composer of film music.
The entire training course is aimed at consolidating the techniques of composing music for images, for documentaries, films, commercials, short films and applied music in general.
To the classic subjects of musical compositional orientation, technological subjects are therefore added to allow the student to be able to gain confidence and competence with musical computer science, sound design, electronic music, virtual fonia.
The second cycle academic diploma on Composition and Film & TV Scoring courses are built around each student, for the development of the own artistic personality, aimed at original artistic productions both for recording productions and concerts, written and directed by the trainee.
Each trainee will conduct an orchestra of 40 elements each year for the recording of the own soundtracks and will create soundtracks for short films, films, advertisements and multimedia products, developing the own personal style.
The pre-academic course in Sound Engineering and Electronic Music is a one-year full immersion course that looks forward to allowing the student to access the admission to courses as an author of electronic music and sound technicians.

The first cycle academic diploma in Electronic Music (compositional address) is an innovative and avant-garde study path for the educational formation of sound engineering and composers of electronic music.

Andrea Avena
Andrea Avena is a talented double bass player, composer, and arranger who has won several awards and prizes. He has collaborated with renowned musicians and played in international tours and television and radio broadcasts. Andrea is also a prolific author of music theory and harmony books and teaches at the Saint Louis College of Music in Rome. He has over 100 records as a bassist and double bass player and has two records under his name.

Cristina Carlini
Cristina Carlini is a professor of history and music historiography and its application to images at the Saint Louis College of Music. She holds diplomas in Head of Keyboards, Harmony & Theory, and Audio Technology from the London Music School and a degree in Modern Literature with a specialization in Art, Music, and Entertainment. Cristina also holds a Master’s degree and a Ph.D. in Historical Sciences and Cultural Heritage. She has won a scholarship for study and research and has created over 40 soundtracks for films, series, commercials, and book trailers.

Luca Proietti
Luca Proietti is a multi-talented musician, composer, sound engineer, sound designer, and music IT teacher with over 30 years of professional experience. He has worked in private structures and courses funded by the Lazio region and the European Union. Currently, he is a coordinator of the Sound Technician course at the Saint Louis College of Music in Rome. He has collaborated with notable artists like Natacha Atlas and Gabin Dabiré, and is part of the “Italia Migrante” formation as a guitarist and arranger. He also leads the “Synth Louis Ensemble,” a group of students from Saint Louis who perform with live synthesizers as the only instruments.

Stefania Del Prete
Stefania Del Prete is a well-rounded musician, singer, and teacher. She has studied vocal technique, music theory, and piano with renowned teachers and has a degree in Foreign Languages and Literature with a musical thesis. She has participated in master classes on vocal power, distorted sounds, and jazz singing. She has many performance credits, including solo and choir work on various TV shows and recordings with famous artists. Stefania has been teaching singing for over 25 years, including at the Saint Louis College of Music in Rome and the A. Boito Conservatory in Parma.
