Study areas for this college
Study Game Art and Animation to explore topics from 2D fundamentals to 3D character and environment design. Learn advanced industry standard animation tools such as Autodesk 3DS Max, Maya, and the Adobe Creative Suite.
Study VFX and Animation to learn the fundamentals and theory that underpin current industry production pipelines. By the end of the course, you will be taught 2D fundamentals like composition and shot development, 3D animation and rendering pipelines, as well as advanced compositing and simulation workflows.
Study Audio Production to develop and support your creativity in audio across music production, live sound, film, games, audio drama, animation, immersive audio and programming. Work in dedicated high-quality recording and post-production suites, and use the latest software including Pro Tools, Ableton, FMOD and Unreal/Unity.
Study Film Production to work with high-end digital cinema cameras and production equipment, before editing and mastering your films in our industry-standard post-production suites with Adobe, Avid and BlackMagic software.
The Video Production Certificate training aims to familiarise you with all the video production techniques needed to work through several creative and technical roles throughout the various stages of film production.
Uniquely, you will also collaborate with students on the SAE Digital Video Production course to produce high-quality footage, and as the course progresses build up a body of showreel work including solo, duo, and group scenes, along with specialist sessions on casting technique, ADR, presenting Green Screen and MOCAP.
Study Web Development to face new challenges based on industry needs, and create stunning mock-ups and wireframes by using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator – using Javascript, Python, and React. Access top-spec PCs and Mac labs, industry-grade software, and Adobe creative suite including Photoshop CC, Illustrator CC, and Dreamweaver CC.
Asset creation On-campus
Think Tank’s mentorship is designed to help artists that have previous training and/or experience brush up on their skills and produce a viable demo reel. Each student is assigned a personal, state-of-the-art workstation. During your time on campus, you will have access to 4-months of guidance from an industry professional to create and polish your demo reel.

Asset Creation is a term used in the CG industry for the creation of all bits and pieces, both big and small, used in Film and Games. This Asset Creation program is designed to train working artists in the CG Industry for the roles of Props & Environments for Film, Characters & Creatures for Film, Environments for Games as well as Characters & Creatures for Games.

Zahra Mushin
Web and Games Programming Lecturer – Zahra is an IS specialist, website designer/developer, and director of information technology at 4Wings. She has completed and delivered numerous IT projects in the UK and abroad, published in international journals and conferences, and specialized in database-driven web applications, mobile applications, and server-side scripting. Her clients include some of the world’s most respected national and international companies. She has also experience in Video Game Development using the Unity engine.

Amir Metcalfe
Animation Programme Coordinator – For over a decade, Amil has taught at the London campus, where he oversees various departments, including animation. Throughout his 25 years of management and development experience, he has strived to make his employees’ performance the best it can be. As an SAE mentor, he helped many graduates work on blockbusters in the visual effects and games industries. The course has grown significantly during his time here, and he is committed to maintaining a curriculum that matches the industry pipelines graduates will be entering.

Debasree Roy
Web Development Lecturer – Having worked as an assistant professor in engineering colleges for over five years, Debasree has worked in the IT industry for about one year. She joined SAE London in December 2021. In addition to teaching, she assists students in analyzing, guiding, and leading their research projects. Her passion is to support and help all the students to achieve their goals.

Jamie Stonehouse
Audio Lecturer – Since joining SAE in 2017, Jamie has been a specialist in Audio Post Production for film, sound, and music for games. He obtained his doctorate in interactive music in 2019 and continues to research while teaching at SAE. In his free time, he makes themes exclusively using video-game technology; his instruments have switched from guitar, drums, and piano to Fmod, Wwise, Unity, and Unreal Engines. To further his research, Jamie plays the guitar, listens to music, and plays video games all day!
