The Sound & Music program at SAE Institute is a 3-year program consisting of two foundational years and one year of specialization. The two foundational years are designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the audio production process, industry operations, and the essential technical, theoretical, and practical skills required in the field.
This specialization aims to deepen technical skills in the areas of sound for visual media and broadcasting (TV & Radio). It combines practical projects and professional experiences in companies, with guidance provided by industry professionals.
This specialization aims to develop sound techniques both in studio and live settings. It focuses on honing skills related to music, sound recording, mixing, and mastering, as well as audio production methods (introduction to music production). Additionally, it aims to cultivate sound reinforcement techniques for concerts and live events.
With the massive growth of the gaming industry (the video game market is projected to surpass $200 billion in 2022 – source: Siècle Digital), there is a significant demand for professionals in the fields of Sound Design and sound integration in video games. This specialization aims to prepare individuals with a work methodology aligned with the animation industry.
The objective of the training is to open you up to technical knowledge, to the professional world and internationally and to appropriate an expression that is both musical and artistic.
At the end of the training, you will be able to initiate, carry and assume a creative gesture as well as to build and appropriate a musical and artistic expression; directing a sound identity. You will be able to communicate, share and exchange with the actors of the musical universe.
This master goes beyond technique, and allows you to learn how to use tools with an artistic and creative approach. You will be able to use both a technical discourse in order to develop sound aesthetics as well as a multimedia discourse in order to serve as an intermediary for the various actors in the media production chain and to be able to direct an audio production. You will be able to conceive, develop and realize the sound identity specific to a stylistic orientation bringing together technique and creativity in the service of the artistic.
