via the Transferable Skills Matrix in an effort to foster and develop employability skills.

Asset Creation is a term used in the CG industry for the creation of all bits and pieces, both big and small, used in Film and Games. This Asset Creation program is designed to train working artists in the CG Industry for the roles of Props & Environments for Film, Characters & Creatures for Film, Environments for Games as well as Characters & Creatures for Games.

Ben Williams
Ben M. Williams is an Auckland-based filmmaker best known for his award-winning short film “Bygones” and his work as an editor on Kiki Rockwell’s music videos “Same Old Energy” and “Cup Runneth Over.” Williams works as an art department graphic designer for the NZ Youtube Giant “Viva La Dirt League” and dabbles in set photography for other productions.

Jess Penson
Jess Penson is a pivotal artist currently based in Tamaki Makaurau. She started in an R&B girl group called Technical and later moved into electronic music as a member of the producer, DJ, and live electronic performance duo Kédu Carlö. Her eclectic taste has influenced her sound, which draws on genres such as jazz and R&B along with Chicago/acid house and Jersey Club.

Allan George
Allan George (Ngāti Kahungunu) is an Auckland-based writer/director/filmmaker. He has won the Academy Award-Accredited LA Shorts Fest’s Best Screenplay award, competed in some of the world’s most prestigious screenwriting competitions, and screened his work at festivals worldwide. He recently received “Seed Funding” from the New Zealand Writers Guild to write his debut feature film.

Oshara Ardelean
Oshara Ardelean is a rising filmmaker based in Auckland who has won awards for her cinematography, production design, and editing of short films from festivals such as The Prodigy Film Awards and Monthly Indie Shorts. Her recent projects include directing music videos for NZ artists such as Kiki Rockwell for her single “Same Old Energy” and “Cup Runneth Over,” along with co-directing pop artist Isla Noon’s “I Need To Go Home.”
