The Bachelor Gemologist-expert aims to understand the entire technical and professional environment of the gemology sector, allowing the identification and recognition of stones, gems and precious metals
The “European Gemmologist Training” course leads to obtaining the ING Gemmologist Diploma, including preparation for the FEEG (Federation of European Education in Gemmology) competition and the exam.
Discover gems and recognition techniques! This 1st cycle aims to discover the diversity of gems and the techniques required to identify them. In particular, it allows you to become familiar with the tools and technologies required for the identification of stones and the evaluation of their quality.
Cycle 2 addresses all questions related to the geology and geography of gemstones. It allows to improve in terms of analysis, in support of complex techniques for the study of stones (chemical and organic analysis, mineralogical classification). At the end, the skills acquired allow the writing of detailed technical notes allowing the qualitative evaluation of the gems, and to establish the bases of an estimate.
Our White Diamond Certificate will allow you to acquire complete general knowledge around the diamond. Indeed, thanks to this certification you will be able to discover all the facets of this exceptional gemstone, whether in its raw or cut form.
This 35-hour training includes preparation for the European competition of the FEEG (Federation of European Education in Gemmology) and passing the exam.
This training revolves around several distinct themes that will allow you to learn to define, observe, and recognize key concepts. During this one you will learn to define what is a gem, an imitation, or a synthesis. You will study the different methods of identifying the hardness, weight and density of a gem.
This à la carte course allows you to appreciate for yourself the main criteria of diamond grading, more commonly known as the 4 Cs. These 4 Cs are a set of four diamond value criteria, initially defined in English : Carat, Cut, Clarity, and Colour.
Discover the gradation of cut colored diamonds! You will observe with a magnifying glass the particularities of the diamonds and will carry out a gradation based on the 4c: Carat (weight), Color (MZ-Fancy color), Clarity (inclusion) and Cut (size).
This à la carte course, focused on the practical approach of the cut white diamond, is delivered on all the campuses of the National Institute of Gemmology, in Paris and Lyon.
This training allows an apprenticeship of the white diamond from its extraction, through the rough market, to the size. This à la carte course also allows you to discover the history of this exceptional gemstone, its trade, improvements and reproductions.
This online training allows you to learn about the methods of valuation of the different families of gems as well as the different techniques of buying and selling gems. The content of the training was produced with the school’s teaching teams and the trainer is an Expert Gemologist who has been teaching at ING for many years.
Learn how to identify quality and estimate color gems while learning about different trading methods through role-playing in this professional course.
Jewelry gouache is a professional manual practice traditionally used by the biggest names in French jewelry. It is the meeting point between Art and technique, between the idea and the workshop. This practice of arts applied to jewelry is used by designers and gouache illustrators in jewelry and watchmaking.
The training is aimed at amateurs, collectors and professionals in sectors related to gemology such as the luxury industry and the art market. Many of our graduates now occupy key positions throughout the profession.
Complete theoretical training course including a global approach then a deepening of current knowledge on the world of pearls: From fine pearls to cultured pearls, passing through imitation pearls, the fields studied are updated and varied, and treat historical, gemmological and technical, cultural, economic and commercial contexts. The program is completed by a detailed study of the world of mother-of-pearl.
