Asset Creation is a term used in the CG industry for the creation of all bits and pieces, both big and small, used in Film and Games. This Asset Creation program is designed to train working artists in the CG Industry for the roles of Props & Environments for Film, Characters & Creatures for Film, Environments for Games as well as Characters & Creatures for Games.

Nick Thomas
As a fashion knitwear designer for nine years, he worked as a fashion knitwear designer in both the luxury and high-street sectors. He returned to the UK in 2016 to study for a MA in Textile Design Innovation at Nottingham Trent University, where he developed practice-based research examining inclusivity in design and art. Nick is passionate about sustainable design practices in his teaching career. Utilizing analog and digital technologies, he encourages students to re-imagine and reduce waste in processes and materials.

Dr. Glenn Jetkins
Glenn joined Cardiff Metropolitan University in 2017 as a Senior Lecturer in Computer Games Development. He began lecturing at Swansea Institute of Higher Education (later Swansea Metropolitan University) in 2006. He became a Senior Lecturer when the University of Wales Trinity St Davids merged with him in 2015. After completing his PGCE in 2010 and a Postgraduate Diploma in Post Compulsory Education and Training in 2014, Glenn became a Senior Lecturer. In addition to programming and software design, he is interested in game design patterns and Linux and open-source software.

Dr. Clara Watkins
Clara is a Senior Lecturer in Product Design and Head of the Department CSAD’s BA, BSc, and MSc Product Design and BA and MA Fashion Design programs. Clara completed her post-doctoral studies in 2017, which aimed to understand the impact of social, economic, political, and cultural elements on the use of medical products in low-resource environments. She is a Cardiff Met’s User Centred Design Research (UCD-R) group member and works closely with the Cardiff School of Medicine, University Hospital Wales.

Dr. Taslima Begum
Taslima Begum is a senior lecturer at Cardiff Metropolitan University’s Cardiff School of Technologies. Additionally, she is a guest lecturer at the University of South Wales in Creative Industries (Art, Media, and Design) and a researcher at Plymouth University in Trans-technology Research. As an advocate for charities that empower vulnerable and disadvantaged people, she previously worked as a Human Centred Design Researcher with PDR.
