MA Visual Communication: Illustration & Animation is a broad-based interdisciplinary studio programme that offers you the freedom to cultivate your own visual language, developing confidence in storytelling, worldbuilding and character design, alongside the conceptual awareness and technical skills that underpin ambitions within the expanding fields of illustration and animation.
MA Visual Communication: Graphic Design is an intensive contemporary programme that combines creative and professional development, experienced within a nurturing, experimental, interdisciplinary, studio-based environment.
This course covers the areas that underpin the visual creative arts industry. Students are introduced to the fundamentals of visual communication and graphic design for branding, advertising, and art direction. Areas of focus include layouts, composition, typography, colour work, the relationships between photography and illustration and how all these unite to give students the tools of a persuasive visual communicator.
This unique, tailored programme is designed especially for students who want to develop a digital portfolio.
Using wide range of mark making techniques in different materials you will explore contemporary painting and drawing using cambridge as your inspiration and being guided by your expert tutor.

A 6-term course designed for students who have a passion for Acting or Musical Theatre, but don’t have the necessary entry requirements to apply directly onto our Drama Foundation.

The Foundation programme at CSVPA offers students the wonderful opportunity to specialise before starting university; to begin the process of undergraduate skill development while preparing their drama school and university auditions.
This popular, fun and challenging course is lead by theatre professionals, all of whom have worked on stage and/or screen and have extensive teaching experience. Students can expect a series of rigorous and intensive classes per week in singing, dancing and acting, geared towards a cabaret style performance at the end of the second week.
In the first week, professional actors will lead you through drama exercises designed to help develop creativity, spontaneity, freedom and authenticity in performance. In the second week, the ensemble work together to rehearse a short production, performed for an invited audience.
Led by award-winning designer Holly Fulton, our Fashion BA (hons) course helps students cultivate a distinctive design identity and to develop creative and practical fashion skills. Our expert team of core staff are complimented by a wide range of visiting guest lecturers from global brands to independent designers.
The course is also suitable for anyone wishing to: develop new skills; establish fresh perspectives for understanding and producing contemporary Art & Design practice; for anyone desiring to overhaul an existing creative portfolio, with a view to further study at Master’s level, or with a view to investing in their creative and/or professional development.

With 2 years of pre-university full-time preparation, our Extended Diploma students have the maximum opportunity to fully develop into effective learners and develop their individuality as artists and designers.
Graphic Design and Illustration underpin most of the visual creative arts industry. You are introduced to the fundamentals of graphic design, such as layouts, composition, typography, colour work, the relationships between photography and illustration and how all of the above unites to form what makes a graphic designer.
This course is to help you create a Fashion Designer’s portfolio through a rigorous thought process: from content and research, then onto analysis and exploration through 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional design methodologies, and finally, the execution of a fashion product and presentation.
This course will equip you with innovative and experimental approaches to 3D Design and help you build up a creative portfolio to apply to relevant Higher Education courses. You will learn to do object prototyping and design development work.

The course will engage students with a wide variety of subject areas from styling, photography, art direction and trend prediction to branding, PR and fashion marketing. This leads to in-depth exploration of one of these subjects in the final year.

MA Fashion: Design at CSVPA is an intensive, contemporary and personalised postgraduate programme which encourages the development of an individual approach to fashion design practice and the articulation of a distinctively value-driven vision.
Fashion communication is a multi-skilled creative discipline. Through fashion illustration, digital skills, brand development and creative manual we will introduce you to the key areas of visual communication within the fashion industry.
In this one week course we will research and understand how fashion styling is the modern way of story telling. Looking to cinematography and nature we will explore in groups how collectively a fashion image is made. Upon leaving this course you will have. Fashion is more than clothes, it’s how we tell stories of our identities.
Using both traditional and digital techniques you will explore contemporary communication design and narrative illustration; by experimenting with a wide range of skills you will produce work that demonstrates aspects of both graphical and illustrative theory and studio based processes. You will leave the course with digitally printed example of your work.
This new one-week 3d design course will give you the opportunity to explore different iconic materials used in product design, researching their properties and uses throughout history.
You will use Cambridge as your inspiration to create an image portfolio. You will learn how to use different cameras and settings for the best effect. During the digital photography component you will learn to manipulate and print digital images on a computer before printing electronically.
MA Fashion: Branding & Creative Communication is a contemporary studio-based programme designed to help you build creative, conceptual and professional skills.
