The best CG artists, such as animators, visual effects artists or CG generalists, are adept not only in the latest tools, but also possess keen observational skills. 3dsense’s curriculum focuses first on computer graphics fundamentals before diving into the advanced digital techniques used to create today’s Hollywood VFX and feature animations.
Students will choose from three specializations: Animation, Modeling or Visual Effects. Our Animation specialization focuses on bringing digital characters to ‘life’ through utilizing tools such as the 12 Principles of Animation, while Modeling trains students in creating photorealistic assets, and Visual Effects focuses on digital simulations, lighting and compositing.
Potential Career Paths: Visual Effects Artist, Animator, Technical Director, CG Generalist and many more!
Good game artists are both skilled artistically and possess an intimate understanding of next-generation game engines. In this course, students will learn to create visually impressive 3D assets and animations, while maintaining good pipeline efficiencies at the same time.
Students will choose from two specializations: Modeling or Animation. The Modeling specialization trains students to craft game-ready assets for deployment across platforms, from fearsome creatures down to the minute leaves and grass. The Animation track teaches how to create convincing character body movements, from exhilarating special attack combos to jumping across a mushroom!
Potential Career Paths: Game Artist, Animator, CG Generalist, Technical Artist.
This course is designed and taught in collaboration with world-acclaimed Imaginary Friends Studios, known for their work on League of Legends, Marvel Comics, D.C Comics, and Star Wars.
The curriculum focuses on digital illustration and concept art, nurturing students on artistic fundamentals and illustration techniques. 3dsense strives to cater to each student’s proficiency level and artistic style to help them pave their own paths in the industry.
Potential Career Paths: Concept Artist, Digital Illustrator, Graphic Designer.
Under the tutelage of some of the top production artists, students will work together to develop a short film. Depending on the 1-year diploma courses they were originally from, students are expected to continue honing their skills as well as learn new ones. At the end of the course, students will graduate with a festival-worthy film.
Today, most of our media interactions occur on screen. In order to captivate a new generation of audiences, advertising agencies, broadcast studios and designers increasingly incorporate motion in their designs.
To be a good motion designer, students have to master various skillsets such as graphic design, animation, concept design, storyboarding, typography, composition, video production, art direction and cinematography. 3dsense’s program aims to train students in these skills and prepare a new generation of visual designers.
Potential Career Paths: Motion Designer, Graphic Designer.
This program trains students to be sensitive to observations and the essential processes of sculpting, molding, painting, photogrammetry & 3D printing. At the end of this course, students can sculpt lifelike figurines and can expect to create their line of physical toys and figures.
Asset creation On-campus

Asset Creation is a term used in the CG industry for the creation of all bits and pieces, both big and small, used in Film and Games. This Asset Creation program is designed to train working artists in the CG Industry for the roles of Props & Environments for Film, Characters & Creatures for Film, Environments for Games as well as Characters & Creatures for Games.

Stanley "Artgem" Lau
Creative Director | Diploma in Visual Communication (Graphic Design) – Formally trained in graphic design and advertising, Stanley’s art is imbued with a strong sense of aesthetics and visual fluidity. It is a perfect blend of eastern and western art styles. Better known by his handle Artgerm, Stanley’s art continues to infect and inspire new generations of artists and his ever-growing fan base around the world. To this date, Stanley’s online art gallery on deviantART has been viewed for more than 50 million times and have close to a million followers on social media.

Derrick Song
Program Director | Diploma in illustration and Graphic Design – Derrick has over 12 years of experience as a Concept Artist and Modeler in the game and art industry. He was the Art Director of Zealot Digital before joining 3dsense, where he handled areas such as Character Modeling, Special Effects, Animation, and Background Design.

Kong Yek Peng
Program Director | Diploma in Digital Media Design – Yek Peng is a former senior artist at the renowned studio Carbon, is the director of 3dsense’s Motion Graphics program. At 3dsense, he ensures that students are prepared with the skillset and knowledge required to seek meaningful careers.

Julian Khor
Program Director | MA in Digital Media Management – With over 20 years of experience as a game artist, senior game artist, art director, and sculpting tutor, Julian is a seasoned pro in the video game industry and the sculpting world. His most recent position was senior game artist at UBISOFT, where he oversaw teams responsible for creating environments and characters, prior to joining 3dsense. Julian has gained notoriety for his skills in sculpture and 3D modeling.
